The J-L Band program continues to grow in number
and music excellence. After a standing room only Christ-
|as Concert, the MS and HS bands have had a stellar
festival season. Performing for musical judges as solo-
ists, small ensembles and full bands has brought home
numerous 1st Division Ratings for Cardinal musicians.
On Feb. 9, forty-three HS band members participated
at District Solo and Ensemble Festival held in Kingsley.
Out of the 33 different events that performed, 18 events
(24 students) received 1st Division ratings and are eli-
gible to perform at the state level. Congratulations to all
performers on a job well done!
Both the HS and MS bands traveled to Petoskey for
District Band Festival on separate weekends. Each band
had to perform three concert pieces in a beautiful audi-
