lust prior to the start of April meeting, Linda Prosser and
Charlotte Bahrke addressed the post. Linda explained that
after 70 years the Ladies Auxiliary wiU cease if some people
do not step up to be officers.
We held our election of new officers, with 17 members
present, including new member, Larry Bye. Bob Hunt was
elected commander.
If you would like to borrow hospital supplies, such as beds
and electric chairs, call Gary at 742-2010, Mark at 742-4130
or Marc at 989-733-0838.
The chili cook-offwent well, with over 60 people present.
]&M Nameplate trophies went to Gary Ferguson for first
place, Ethan Klein for second place,'and John Klein for best
hot chili.
The post is still in need of help for our Friday Night Fish
Fry's, which are held from 4-7 p.m.

VFW Post 2356 Ladies Auxiliary

The April 2 meeting of the ladies auxiliary to VFW 2356
met at 6 p.m. at the post home with presiding president
Linda Gerish Prosser.
Ladies, please note the changes. Due to the lack of
interest, our auxiliary may be forced to close. No one
would run for president. A special meeting for electing a
president will be held on April 23 at 6 p.m. This meeting
is for election purpose only. Our regular meeting in May
will change to Thursday night, due to other obligations
by some of our regular members. That meeting is May 9
at 5:30, so that we can help pack care packages for the
Stand Down for the homeless veterans.
A reminder that our District 13 meeting is in Traverse
City at post 2780 on May 4. New incoming officers for
2013/2014 will be voted on at this meeting.
If we vote to disband our auxiliary, you may contact me
at 742-2236 for applications to of transfer to another
auxiliary.
