On July 12, 2013, family, friends, and current and former
courthouse employees gathered to remember a former
88th District Court employee, Seanelle Dice. Judge
Theodore O. Johnson dedicated a canvas by artist Ed-
ward Tadiello called "Angel at Rest," in honor of Seanelle,
to hang outside of the District Court office.
Seanellewas a court clerk from 1998-2002, until she and
her family relocated to Texas.
Judge Johnson said "As we go through life, we experi-
ence different relationships with others and Seanelle
touched allofourlives for the better. It's hard to contem-
plate someone so young, healthy and spiritual being
taken at such a young age."
Seanelle lost her battle to colon/brain cancer February
13, 2013 at the age of 44. Her husband, Guy, stated that
she would want everyone to remember her as such a
wonderful, loving mother; as she loved, more than any-
thing, being a mom to Cody and Brendon.
Underneath the canvas is a gold plaque that reads the
scripture from 2 Timothy 4:7.
